The last time I saw Caroll Spinney
was at my college graduation. He was our keynote speaker and I couldn’t have asked for anything better! I grew up watching him (well, his alter-egos) on Sesame Street, so it was such a special experience for him to be there on such an important day in my academic life. After the ceremony I was able to meet and speak with him. He’s such a humble, unassuming and kind man. That day I discovered where Big Bird received those traits. :)
The last time I saw Newt Gingrich
was in his office in Washington, D.C. while he was Speaker of the House. He let me sit in his chair and hold the enormous gavel that was on his desk. We had our picture taken together. Very nice gentleman.
